OREGON DEPARTMENT
OF FISH AND WILDLIFE
BUILDING
The complexity of a large multi-department State agency, juxtaposed with the need for the simplicity of a long-term flex space office building posed the primary design challenge in this developer-owned project.
The resulting 76,000 square foot, three story, steel frame building is a simple rectangle in overall shape, but features a two-story curved glass wall sculptured into an exterior wall; the use of column forms in the exterior walls; a two-story main lobby; a free- standing glass and steel entrance canopy; and a warm blend of brick, slate, and colored concrete masonry.
